The SHIFT Gaming Experience brought to you by MTN will be heading to Hyprop Malls in Western Cape and Gauteng over the next few months. 

The event will feature a variety of gaming activities for everyone featuring spot prizes, daily prizes and random draws. The FIFA 23 tournament will be a series of qualifiers leading to a R35,000 cash grand final at Canal Walk in August!

Game On: SA’s Biggest Mall-based Gaming Tournament Kicks Off

Five months, seven malls, one national finale.

Esports fans, get ready for an exciting event as ACGL presents Grind, powered by Predator. This event is set to showcase the best of Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Rocket League in three separate leagues. Each league comes with a R10,000 prize pool, and each title has a chance to earn an additional R5000 in prize money through community goals.

Do you think you are the fastest racer when it comes to F1 22? Then prove it in the Braintree Gaming F1 22 Series which gets underway on 17 March and runs... almost until the fuel runs out in the real world Formula 1 season.

On the line over the upcoming months is over R40,000 in cash, shared between fastest lap winners, random draws and the top racers when the final flag is waved. In total, 20 tracks will be raced over four sectors, with the top two racers after each sector heading to a grand final.

In 2022 we introduced our seasons format, bringing more digital rewards and competitive opportunities to everyone. In 2023, we will be doing it again. But better.

Operation Uprising is the name of our first season of the year and brings a new lore, digital rewards and other exciting additions to the site.

The theme for the season is the rise of AI, robots and the potential assimilation of the human race. The grind begins now and runs until 31 May, with the key additions and updates being:

2020 and 2021 felt like another lifetime, and when 2022 got underway, no-one was sure what the year’s theme would be. We had lost two years of live events, and expectations were pretty low of the full return to venues. After two years of increased online activities, we were geared to keep growing our online offering and a slow return to events. We could not have been more wrong as we look back at how 2022 became the return of the event… in a big way. 

It all started slowly however. We closed off the Tinkies Takeover online with our mix of esports and engagements, and moved on to the Sapphire Edge Cup for FIFA 22 in February. The online series was sponsored by adidas and featured R20,000 in prizes. Alongside the online tournament, the ACGL crew joined the adidas team for a launch event in February which featured a number of invited FIFA players. 

We already revealed that Gizzu would be part of the Engage at rAge elements alongside Redragon, POCO, PCBuilder and Xiaomi.

The FIFA 23 tournament at this year's rAge Expo will feature R10,000 cash and Gizzu products. Over the weekend, eight qualifiers will be hosted with the top player per qualifier returning on Sunday to compete for their share of the prizes.

Starting today, participants can get allocated to one of four houses. The more you compete and engage, the more points your house earns. At the end of the Mythic Madness, the most supported house will see three members rewarded with their share of R10,000 cash.

The Predator Ultimate Gamer challenge is heading to rAge Expo 2022 and features Predator's ultimate gaming setup - a grand prize that's worth a whopping R130,000! Thanks to the good folk at Acer Predator you get more than just one way to win! 

How to win at rAge Expo 2022:

We are pleased to announce the Radisson RED Championship for FIFA 23 on PlayStation. The tournament series will feature a cash prize pool and more, and will culminate on 17 December at the Radisson RED hotel in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The series is powered by Braintree Gaming and The Toyota Gaming Engine, bringing some of the current CSR players into the wider competitive community.

The series will see a total of 128 players compete at the venue in December, but before that a number of opportunities will be on offer to secure a place without paying the R50 entry fee.
